Resource Specialist Program (RSP)

8300   Learning Skills 1 RS

Grade Level: 9


This course is designed for 9th grade students to assist them with general education course work. In addition to this assistance, students will receive instruction in study skills and social development. (Placement in this class is based on the recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).
 

8304 Learning Skills 2 RS

Grade Level: 10


This course is designed for 10th grade students to assist them with general education course work. In addition to this assistance, students will receive guidance in self-advocacy skills and vocational development. Emphasis in the 10th grade will be on developing self-awareness and identifying personal strengths and interest. (Placement in this class is based on the recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).

8312 Learning Skills 3 RS

Grade Level: 11

This course is designed for 11th grade students to assist them with general education course work. In addition to this assistance, students will receive guidance in developing work skills and in career planning. Emphasis in the 11th grade year is placed on developing a Career Portfolio. (Placement in this class is based on the recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).

8316 Learning Skills 4 RS

This course is designed for 12th grade students to assist them with general education course work. In addition to this assistance, students will receive guidance in their transition from high school. Students will complete their Career Portfolio, while receiving support with post-high school planning. (Placement in this class is based on the recommendation by the Individual Plan (IEP) team).

8020 Math - RSP

 

Grade Level: 9-12


This is a math development course designed to instruct students in the math skills necessary for passing the California High School

Exit Exam in math. (Placement in this program is based on recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).


8454 Math Support - RSP

 

Grade Level: 9-12


This is a math development course designed to supplement course 8020 Math RSP. (Placement in this program is based on recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).


8240 Algebra – RSP

 

Grade Level: 9-12

This is a basic algebra course designed for students with IEPs. (Placement in this program is based on recommendation by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team).
