Aptos High School is committed to fostering a caring and inclusive community for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Our school aims to provide resources to support and meet the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth and families.
A gender affirmation support plan is intended to create shared understandings about the ways in which transgender youth and gender non-conforming youth will be addressed and supported at Aptos High School. Students may request an appointment with an assistant principal to complete a Gender Affirmation Support Plan.
Aptos High School affirms students' rights to enroll with names or gender different from their official birth certificate and/or official school record. Thereby, students can be addressed by the name and pronoun that reflects who they say they are. A School Roster Information Change Request can be submitted to the registrar.
