Homecoming Parade 10/9
DATE: Wednesday October 9, 2019
TIME: 3:00 - 4:00pm
LOCATION: The parade will start on Sumner Ave near Camp St Francis and end at Seascape Blvd.
We will be showing our Mariner Pride all of Homecoming Week!
Bring your chairs, sit along the street, and watch each class' float.
Everyone is welcome to come and watch

Student Guidelines
Aptos High works hard to protect our positive image in the community. All parade participants and students viewing the parade are required to respect the following guidelines.
Any violation of the guidelines could result in administrative disciplinary action.
For all parade participants and viewers:
- Respect neighboring businesses and residents. Please stay out of yards and off of landscaping. Do not vandalize any property.
- Clean up after yourself & your class. Do not litter.
- Positive cheering is encouraged. Booing or other negative jeering may result in disciplinary consequences.
For students in the parade:
- Must arrive at 2:00PM
- Do not throw/toss anything from any vehicle. If you are passing out candy or other items, you must walk to the recipient and give it to him/her.
- There is absolutely NO getting on or off of a vehicle. If you are riding on a vehicle in the parade, you must start the parade on a vehicle and remain there for the duration of the parade.
- At the end of the parade, please disperse quickly. Use sidewalks to walk on and remember to respect businesses. Use caution and look out for cars as the street is reopened after the parade.
The Wells Fargo parking lot MAY NOT be used for parking or parade lineup. Please meet next door at the church parking lot.

Homecoming 2018 winning Class announced at Halftime. Also, we will be recognizing our Homecoming Court & crowning our King and Queen.
FREE rally towels will be distributed

Costume Dress-Code Policy
Mariner dress-code still applies. Please refer to handbook for more information.
Please adhere to the costume policy below:
- NO masks
- No simulated weapons are to be brought on campus.
- No enhanced body parts allowed.

Homecoming Spirit Week Dress-up Days!
Monday 10/7: MIX n MATCH Monday - Mix n’ Match pattern on pattern, different colors, different shoes, shoelaces, mixed up hair!
Tuesday 10/8: Sport FANatic Day! - dress up to represent your favorite sports team! Don't be afraid to go overboard!
Wednesday 10/9: "On Wednesdays, we wear pink." The Mean Girls quote says it all!
Thursday 10/10: Exploration Thursday! - Dress like your a pirate, a voyager, a captain, or an aviator.
Friday 9/28: CLASS SHIRTS/MARINER WEAR! - Wear your homecoming class shirts to the rally or your favorite Mariner Wear!
Please keep your outfits appropriate!
Refer to the dress guidelines in your student handbook or ask an advisor if you have any questions about costume appropriateness.

Homecoming RALLY

Wear your Homecoming Class Shirts or Mariner Wear!
The Homecoming Rally will include a skit by each class and the presentation of the 2018 Homecoming Court couples.
The rally takes places in the Warmerdam Gym.
Parents are welcome to watch.

"Classic Movies" Homecoming Dance
Theme: : "Classic Movies"
DATE: Friday, September 28th 2018
TIME: 9:00 - 11:00
LOCATION: Aptos High Main Quad
THEME DRESS-CODE: Dress up as your favorite Classic Movie Character
PRICE: $3 (Dressed to Theme)
$5 (Not dressed to Theme)
with DJ ERIC SILVA
Aptos High Dance Policy
If multiple warnings for inappropriate dancing occur, the lights may be turned on and/or music stopped or changed as a collective warning for everyone
Pick Up: Students must be picked up within 15 minutes after the end of the dance. Failure to pick-up students will result in failure to attend subsequent dances.
